In her new role, El\u017cbieta Korczy\u0144ska will be responsible for execution of Selena Group\u2019s financial strategy.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>El\u017cbieta Korczy\u0144ska has been working with Selena since 2005<\/b>. Over that time, she took part in developing and implementing financial strategies and supervised the process of consolidating financial statements and reporting. She was responsible for preparing and monitoring budgets and long-term financial plans. She graduated from the\u00a0<b>University of Economics (MBA)<\/b>\u00a0and the\u00a0<b>University of Environmental and Life Sciences<\/b>\u00a0in Wroc\u0142aw. She also completed a number of postgraduate studies, including a course in Controlling.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" title=\"El\u017cbieta Korczy\u0144ska, a new Management Board Member, acting CFO of Selena Group\" src=\"https:\/\/selena.com\/upload\/medialibrary\/7a7\/7a779d6ba8f30bd88d217ace50bc9570.jpg\" alt=\"El\u017cbieta Korczy\u0144ska, a new Management Board Member, acting CFO of Selena Group\" width=\"280\" height=\"290\" align=\"right\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"1\" vspace=\"1\" \/><i>\u201cSelena Group is an entity with a strong position in the Polish market, but also on the international stage.\u00a0<b>The Group&#8217;s products are sold in 70 countries, which is both a source of pride and a challenge related to cost optimisation and securing our operations in markets with varied political and economic situations<\/b>. I know the Group&#8217;s activities very well because I\u2019ve been involved in the process of creating and executing financial strategies for years. My key task as an acting CFO will be to manage the Group&#8217;s finances to support the Group&#8217;s active development and meet the challenges of the present market. By this I mean focusing on risk mitigation and dealing with the difficult situation in the raw materials market and the exposure to unforeseen events.\u00a0<b>The Selena team\u2019s experience and products based on modern technologies responding to end users\u2019 needs will certainly improve the Group\u2019s efficiency through, for example, balanced expenditure to foster sales development<\/b>\u201d<\/i>, says\u00a0<b>El\u017cbieta Korczy\u0144ska<\/b>, a new\u00a0<b>Management Board Member, acting CFO of Selena Group<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>Having joined Selena Group in 2005, she held such functions as Vice President of the Management Board \u2013 Chief Financial Officer at one of Selena Group\u2019s subsidiaries, a holding entity for 19 foreign affiliates. In 2011, she was nominated as Selena\u2019s Group Controller for about 30 subsidiaries. She was responsible for implementation of the new ERP system \u2013 Microsoft Dynamix AX as the project\u2019s architect.\u00a0<b>Since 2015, she has been Head of Treasury at Selena Group<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>In 1994\u20132005,\u00a0<b>El\u017cbieta Korczy\u0144ska\u00a0<\/b>served as\u00a0<b>Corporate Controller, Treasury Director and Director of Planning at American Restaurants sp. z o. o.<\/b>\u00a0She was a member of supervisory boards and management boards of subsidiaries of this franchise conglomerate from the real estate and restaurant sector.
